Siempelkamp Handling Systeme GmbH (SHS) in Wolfratshausen (Germany) is a 100% subsidiary of the Siempelkamp Group in Krefeld, which has over 2,000 employees and is a supplier of turnkey complete systems for producing panel-type materials for the wood processing, building materials and plastics industries.

In addition to complete processing lines for handling, cutting and storing panel-type materials for construction and for the home, SHS, with its workforce of over 150, is also able to supply continuously operating double belt lines for producing sandwich panels with an insulating core made of polyurethane foam (PU / PIR) or mineral wool.

As an experienced provider of complete solutions, SHS is in a position both to offer complex processing lines and to meet individual requirements. The primary component areas of these processing lines are decoiling, profiling, metering and coating areas, tank farms, double belts with temperature control, cross-cutting, cooling, stacking and packing installations and electrical control.

The processes and manufacturing techniques used in the individual areas, which represent a whole range of technologies in themselves, are coordinated to create a high-quality sandwich panel which complies with the relevant standards and building requirements.
 
Changeover times and downtime, in particular, can be significantly reduced by increasing automation, considerably improving processing-line efficiency.

In addition to advanced tailor-made process technology with process monitoring, a user-friendly visualisation of the entire manufacturing process also contributes to greatly improved quality control for checking the sandwich panels.

In recent years, SHS has also developed the main machine areas further, or redesigned them, with for example wide double belt installations, special applications for special products and recycling installations, in order to secure market segments, or win over new ones.

The Siempelkamp Group and SHS are players on the international scene and have their own plants and branches in Europe, America, Australia and China, as well as free representatives to ensure a worldwide sales and service presence.

Cooperation with Elastogran, a subsidiary of BASF, in the field of polyurethane processing with the corresponding rigid-foam systems has resulted in a close partnership for further foam and machine development, from which installation operators can reap the benefits.
