Viessmann Kältetechnik AG from Hof is currently the most important manufacturer of cooling and deep-freeze cells for trade and industry in Germany. This includes the in-house production of system components, such as, for example, cooling units and shelf systems in stainless steel. With more than 360 employees and an annual turnover of EUR 34 million, the company is the market and technology leader in Germany for temperature-controlled rooms for trade and industry, and is one of Europe's largest companies in this sector.

More than 200,000 cooling and deep-freeze cells

Since 1974, over 200,000 cooling and deep-freeze cells have been produced in Hof, intended for the most demanding quality and hygiene applications. Viessmann offers optimal solutions for the various fields of application in industry, catering, trade, gastronomy, the hotel industry, food production/processing, agriculture and households, from modular, extendable cooling cells, through to complex special designs, e.g. for outfitting ships.

Wide range of innovative insulating materials

A wide range of innovative insulating materials, such as PU foams, vacuum insulation, rock wool and perlite, offer optimal material characteristics for almost any application in refrigeration and deep-freeze technology.

Development and production of cooling units

The Viessmann engineers have been developing and producing cooling units for medium to small outputs from an early stage. Each year, several thousand units are produced for the European market, for use in numerous segments, from pharmaceutical research through to the automotive industry.

Specialists in test and climatic chambers

Further divisions are engaged in the development, planning and construction of plants for the fields of clean room technology and environment simulation technology, i.e. test and climatic chambers in which the specific life cycle of a product can be simulated within a short period of time under the influence of different climatic conditions, with the help of complex plant engineering.

Optimised production conditions with modern production technology enable tailor-made and customised manufacture of Viessmann refrigeration technology products, clean room and environment simulation systems.
