Rational processing and cutting of sandwich elements on the building site Sandwich elements with metal outer skins and a PU-core now guarantee quick and consequently cost-favourable facing of roofs and walls with large-surface construction. Accordingly, increasing importance is given to economic processing and assembly of these elements. The TRUMPF Panel Cutter TP 150-0'' is designed
for performing cutting operations on site. This innovative device is suitable
for all cutting operations, including those on the building site, meets
all safety requirements and is easy to operate. Its performance capacity
enables it to cope with the demands of daily use.
In comparison with other methods (circular or compass saws), up to 150 mm thick sandwich elements can be cut with the Panel Cutter in a single operating cycle, without having to turn the workpiece. Internal cutouts with side lengths from 140 x 140 mm can be accurately introduced during assembly of sandwich elements on site. For manufacturing difficult cutouts in the centre of the element or a mounted surface, the machine is put in place and the knife and chain inserted. Cutouts which extend beyond the connecting joint of two elements can also be executed. It is possible to cut through several layers of insulating or sealing material with up to six layers of steel sheet in between, as found in locks. This capacity is based on a new type of metal
sawing process developed by TRUMPF. It is characterised by continuous
cutting, which once again ensures an extremely smooth machine position
and enables precise cutting at speeds up to 2.0 m/min.
The ergonomically shaped sliding handle and the two-handed operation ensure safe guidance and trouble-free processing of the sandwich panels, whether assembled or disassembled. The TP 150-0 is also attractive due to its low weight and high level of safety; the chain stops as soon as the machine is switched off and does not run on. To avoid damage to the coating on the outer and inner skins of elements and for longer linear cuts, the use of an (optional) guidance rail is recommended.
